Olumide Akpata is a Nigerian lawyer. He is the current President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). He was born on October 7, 1972, in Edo State, Nigeria. He attended King’s College, Lagos. Studied law at the University of Benin, where he graduated in 1992. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993.
Akpata began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. He then joined the law firm of Templars, where he rose to become a partner. He is a specialist in corporate law and has advised many multinational companies on their investments in Nigeria.
